The Lincoln Isham House
In 1906, the home was purchased by Charles Isham and his wife Mary Todd “Mamie” Lincoln Isham, the granddaughter of President Abraham Lincoln. Charles was a wealthy attorney and an eminent historian who served as head librarian for the New York Historical Society, secretary of the Sons of the Revolution, and was president of the St. Nicholas Society. This period was marked by prestige and affluence. Charles Isham passed away in the house on June 9, 1919. Mary remained in the residence until 1935.
